The 2013 South Dakota Timed Event Youth Rodeo Championship, sponsored in part by Iverson FeatherLite, Panhandle Slim, Producers Hybrids, and Double D Western went off without a hitch at the South Dakota State Fair over Labor Day weekend. The third annual South Dakota Timed Event Youth Rodeo Championship awarded one trailer and seven saddles to the Midwest’s most deserving youth rodeo talent. Made possible by Eastern Dakota Rodeos, Jason Edleman and Steven Birkholtz, the stands were filled as State Fair attendees watched youth contestants compete in 6 of the rodeo timed events.

She was awarded a 2013 FeatherLite Stock Combo trailer, sponsored by Iverson FeatherLite of Mitchell and a scholarship, along with many other prizes. With 57 points received, she slid past her competition to earn top honors. Engesser, a Spearfish, SD native competed in breakaway roping, goat tying and barrel racing at the Championship. Engesser also won the Barrel Racing and was awarded a Trophy Saddle.
